Authorities Investigating After Discovery of Dead Body In Banana River In Cocoa Beach

Authorities did not release identity of victim

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office reported the discovery of a body found in a raft floating in a tree line off the Minuteman Causeway in Cocoa Beach on Tuesday about 10 a.m.

BRREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA –  The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office reported the discovery of a body found in a raft floating in a tree line off the Minuteman Causeway in Cocoa Beach on Tuesday about 10 a.m.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit and Cocoa Beach police are now on scene investigating the incident in the Thousand Islands area of the Banana River.

Authorities did not release the identity, or cause of death, of the victim.
