The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is continuing investigate the death of a woman who was found dead early Tuesday morning near the 400 block of South Burnette Road in unincorporated Cocoa.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is continuing investigate the death of a woman who was found dead early Tuesday morning near the 400 block of South Burnette Road in unincorporated Cocoa.

The victim was identified as 59-year-old Gustava Renee Rigsby from Cocoa.

At around 6:37 a.m. Tuesday morning, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office received a report that there was a woman lying in the parking lot of a business, according to Cmdr. Dan Singleton of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say when deputies arrived they found the woman and pronounced her dead at the scene.

The investigation to date does not indicate foul play, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Brevard County Medical Examiner’s Office says a post mortem examination of the victim is currently being conducted.
