BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has enjoyed a great deal of success removing wanted fugitives from Space Coast streets thanks to innovative and highly popular initiatives created by Sheriff Wayne Ivey with programs like the nationally acclaimed, “Wheel of Fugitive” and Brevard favorite, “Cookin’ Up Justice.”

“Wheel of Fugitive” and “Cookin’ Up Justice” air weekly on the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page and also Space Coast Daily TV, and Sheriff Ivey has done it again with “Fishing For Fugitives.”

Thousands of citizens anxiously await 8 p.m. Tuesday night when Sheriff Ivey spins the wheel with 10 wanted fugitives, waiting to see which one will be the lucky “winner” featured as the Most Wanted from that week’s episode.

Fishing For Fugitives will feature the many popular and historical great fishing destinations on the Space Coast, and for the first episode of Fishing For Fugitives, Sheriff Ivey is at the Cocoa Beach Pier.

“This is a new innovative program as we ask our citizens to get behind us to get fugitives off our streets and behind bars at the Brevard County jail where they can’t hurt or victimize anybody else,” said Sheriff Ivey.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office “Catch of the Day” in this first episode of Fishing For Fugitives is Audie Ray Perkins Jr., 40, who is wanted for Violation of Probation Reference Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card who was last hooked on June 8 of this year and is on No Bond status.

Sheriff Ivey said that Perkins is known to be in the “waters of the Cocoa Beach area” and was last hooked June 8.

“If you’re the “Catch of the Day,” you know what to do, turn yourself in and do the right thing – don’t make our Fugitive Unit come to get you. Because if you don’t turn yourself in, I promise you, they aren’t far from your house,” said Sheriff Ivey.
