BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On Wednesday, as participants from agencies around the country who are attending our “Paws and Stripes College” Child Therapy Dog Training were out in the community socializing their K-9’s, they were approached by a little boy named Joey who presented the Deputies with his business card.

His card or “Ticket From Joey” as it reads was valid for one hug as a gesture to thank the officers for their service.

Of course the class attendees gladly accepted Joey’s ticket and also allowed him to hang out with their furry partners for a while who of course all wanted hugs as well!

I tell people almost everyday that serving as a Law Enforcement Officer in Brevard County is an awesome feeling because our citizens love us so much!

Citizens like Joey and his family are perfect examples of why that statement is so true and why we at the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office consider ourselves blessed!
