As a native Floridian and life-time resident of Merritt Island, Capt. Joe has spent most of his life chasing anything that has fins. He caught his first fish at the age of 4, and at the age of 15 began his professional career as a mate on a well-respected charter boat out of Port Canaveral. After receiving his U.S. Coast Guard approved captain’s license three years later, Capt. Joe launched his own career and business as a charter boat captain aboard the Sea Wrangler, his custom-built 30-foot Sea Vee, which is designed for maximum speed, comfort, safety and serious fishing. Over the years he has developed his own techniques and tricks to ensure chartered anglers the edge to bring home their desired prize. Aside from his passion for fishing, he says that his greatest reward is the satisfaction of helping an angler conquer and land a trophy fish. Capt. Joe is not only a well recognized local outdoorsman and captain-owner of one of the most successful off-shore fishing charter businesses at Port Canaveral, he also has a bachelors degree in business, and a masters degree in healthcare administration from the University of Central Florida.
