Loving Family Mourns Arthur Eugene Tidwell

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — Arthur Eugene Tidwell, age 76, was born on July 16, 1935, and went home to Glory on March 10, 2012, in the presence of his loving family.
Gene moved to Titusville, Florida, in August 1970, with his family and resided there until his passing.
Gene was a member of Temple Baptist Church under the direction of Rev. Wendel J. Correll.
Gene was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Macon, Georgia and retired from Roadway Express after 30 years of service.
Gene was a devoted and hardworking father, a wonderful grandfather and a friend to many. He will be remembered for his kindness, his zest for life and great sense of humor.
Gene never met a stranger. He had a smile for everyone. Gene was an exceptionally generous man and was always willing to help others in their time of need.
He was deeply loved and will be sincerely missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by one sister, Lizzy Mae Brown age 78, of Titusville, Florida; his five children, Tony Tidwell age 56, of Raleigh, North Carolina, Tim Tidwell age 53, of Titusville, Florida, Sheila Guinn age 49, of Port St. John, Florida, Troy Tidwell age 46, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Traci Luman age 46, of Mims, Florida.
He has seventeen grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Gene will be laid to rest at the family cemetery at Fellowship Chapel in Lizella, Georgia.
