BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Beach Minutemen exploded for eight unearned runs and tacked on three earned runs en route to an 11-0 shutout win over the host Palm Bay Pirates in the opening game of the 20th annual Palm Bay High School Scott’s Sporting Goods spring break classic baseball tournament for varsity squads March 26 at Palm Bay High School.

Palm Bay hurler Matt Romandetti surrendered eight hits and walked six Tiger in a losing cause.

Cocoa Beach’s Mike Boulet smashed a home run for the Minutemen in the third inning.
