GAMEOVER Task Force Pops Ysidron Alonzo Ruth

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT ST JOHN, FLORIDA – The GAMEOVER® Task Force arrested 46-year-old Ysidron Alonzo Ruth of Orlando for armed sexual battery, kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and domestic violence battery. Ruth was tracked down and arrested in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

A Brevard County partnership created in 2008, The GAMEOVER® Task Force locates and arrests those violators who are considered repeat and violent offenders.

Ruth’s arrest related to an incident reported to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office on March 30, 2012, where Ruth approached the victim at her residence in Port St. John and forcibly removed her with the threat and display of a firearm.

The victim was taken to Ruth’s residence in Orlando, where she was allegedly drugged and assaulted over a 24-hour time period. The victim was then dropped off at her residence. This was not a random act – the victim and suspect were previously involved in a relationship.

Ruth was tracked to South Florida where he had fled after the assault.  The arrest was coordinated with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, who assisted and transported Ruth to the Broward County Jail. Ruth is detained on a nobond status and is pending extradition to Brevard County.

Ruth has an extensive criminal history where he has previously served sentences in the Florida Department of Corrections for false imprisonment in the 1980’s and cocaine trafficking in the 1990’s.
