BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A serious accident half a world away decades ago paved the way for one of Brevard’s top physicians to develop an interest in medicine.

Growing up in Hyderabad, India, Dr. Manohar Reddy was badly injured in an accident at the age of 10 and required significant treatment to recover.

“The medical team was so compassionate to me in my healing process,” Reddy said.  “Especially the physician, who made me realize that being able to help people in a caring way was what I wanted to become. I worked very hard from that time forward to achieve that dream.”

Reddy graduated from Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, India and then completed his residency in internal medicine at Englewood Hospital in New Jersey.

To achieve his rating as a top performer for 2011 by the Brevard Physicians Network based upon Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set care and service, Reddy said he strives to be compassionate and take the time to listen to his patients and their concerns about their health.

“I focus on preventative medical care and health maintenance for the patient’s well-being,” he said. “I stay up-to-date on current medical illnesses so I can continue to give a high level of care.”

A visit to Reddy’s practice reveals that his staff follow his medical philosophy as well.

“I focus on preventative medical care and health maintenance, and stay up-to-date on current medical illnesses.”

“We have six employees who try to give professional, courteous and compassionate care to all of our patients all of the time,” he said.

Wait time for patients visiting the office are minimal and Reddy said he strives to see everyone within 15 minutes of their arrival.

He also takes pride in achieving high marks from patients in the ease of setting an appointment, staff courtesy, making an accurate diagnosis, bedside manner, spending time with patients and then following up with them after their visit.

Dr. Reddy’s office is at 2551 West Eau Gallie Boulevard in Melbourne. For information call 321-752-5544.
