BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Board-certified family practitioner Dr. Ming Lai’s world travels led him to Florida and since 1996 he has called Brevard County home.
Born in Taiwan, Lai moved to Brazil as a child where he developed an interest in medicine and science. He obtained a medical degree from the University Federalo Do Ceara in Forteleza, Brazil and then completed his residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
Married and the father of three children currently attending college, Lai is fluent in four languages, including Portugese, Chinese Spanish and English.
He is affiliated with Medical Associates of Brevard and in addition to his family practice, Lai is skilled in hematology.
Lai leads a team of five caring medical staffers at his office and attributes their dedication for his selection as a top performer for 2011 by the Brevard Physicians Network for his Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set care and service rating.

“Being in family practice, it is important to keep up with annual screenings,” Lai said. “Also, updates from insurers help us monitor patients. Regular follow-up appointments and lab work are essential.”
