County Tees Up Discounted Golf For Summer

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Residents gearing up to hit the links this summer on Brevard County’s public golf courses are in for a surprise.
Brevard’s Parks and Recreation Department will offer cut rates for golfing through Nov. 30.
The county operates three courses open year-round for public play including the par 72 Savannahs Golf Course on Merritt Island, the par 67 executive Spessard Holland Golf Course in Melbourne Beach and the par 72 Habitat at Valkaria Golf Course.
Residents of Brevard County will be able to play 18 holes of golf on the public courses with use of a golf cart for $29 before noon and $25 after noon.
In addition, special twilight rates are available after 3 p.m. each day and gift cards may be purchased. Discount cards will be sold starting May 1.
Driving ranges, putting greens and practice bunkers are available at each course.
Each course is open daily from 7 a.m. to dark and offers complete pro shop service and golf club rentals.
