BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — John G. Hofmeister III, 78, of Melbourne, born in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012.
John worked in the Space Industry for over 40 years at KSC working on the Apollo, Space Shuttle and Space Station Programs and was a US Navy Veteran.
John enjoyed boating, woodworking and making jewelry.
John is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, J. Michael (Janet) Hofmeister and Steve J. (Mary) Hofmeister; grandchildren, Lisa, Max and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Corbin and Maya; stepchildren, Sharon, Kimberley and William Sellers; and step grandchildren, Charlotte, Jamie, Lee and Stella.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 4:00 p.m., at Brownlie-Maxwell Chapel.
