Titusville Child Wounded In Shooting

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Police have confirmed a 4-year-old child was wounded in a shooting incident Saturday morning in Titusville.

Titusville Police spokesman Cpl. Det. Gary Boyer said the child was rushed to Parrish Medical Center about 9:21 a.m. and subsequently transferred to the hospital’s intensive care unit and is listed in stable condition.

“We are not releasing the name of the child at this time,” Boyer said.

The incident happened at 1605 Craig Avenue as the ressult of an unsecured handgun, Boyer said..

Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting, Boyer said.
