Man Shot To Death In Apartment Parking Lot

Homicide Investigation Under Way

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Police responding to reports of gunfire discovered a man shot to death in an apartment complex parking lot early Wednesday morning.

A 22-year-old man was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Hopkins Place Apartments early Wednesday. (Google Street View Map image)

Sgt. Sheridan Shelley, Melbourne Police Department spokesman, said that officers arriving at the Hopkins Place Apartments, 3000 Monroe Street at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday found a man who had been shot and kllled in the parking lot.

Shelley said Melbourne police detectives are currently investigating this homicide and further information may become available at a later time.

The victim has been identified as Kaper R. Williams, 22, who lived in Apartment 5 of the apartment complex.
