BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA — An entry field of nearly 100 golfers took part today, June 1, in the first annual Zach Potter Tournament at Duran Golf Club – raising treasured funds approaching $20,000 for 24-year-old Zach’s debut year as a touring golf professional.

Corporate sponsorship deals and individual entries brought the final total raised to just over $18,000.

There was warm applause for Zach as the total was revealed during the prize-giving ceremony.

Warmest Thanks

“It’s been a fantastic day and I’d like to give my warmest thanks to everyone who has contributed towards the success of my golf tournament,” he told Space Coast Daily.com.

Golfing Dream

It’s been Zach Potter’s dream of becoming a top US golf professional since he first began swinging the club as an 8-year-old.

Space Coast Daily.com will report on Zach’s progress – as we will any young sporting talent from Brevard.

“Reaching the PGA Tour has been a dream of mine since I picked up a club as an eight year old at a summer golf camp,” Zach says in his tournament brochure.

“After experiencing that first exciting moment of impact, some part of me knew that I would never be the same.

“I know I have the work ethic. I know that I have the talent to compete at the highest level. Now, I need the opportunity to prove that I can succeed in reaching my ultimate dream.”
