Missing Elderly Titusville Resident Found in Miami

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Police have found the whereabouts of an elderly man missing since last week.

Alfunches Lewis Jr., 71, was reported missing on Friday by his family to the Titusville Police Department.

Titusville Detective Jessica Edens said Lewis was discovered at a hotel in Miami on Tuesday.

Police are working to reunite him with his family in Titusville.

Lewis has not been officially diagnosed with dementia, but his family has reported that he has been exhibiting the early stages of the disease.”

Lewis was last seen in Titusville on June 26.

Police said that on the following day, he was spotted in Miami, but has not been seen or heard from since.

He apparently left the area driving a 1994 white/maroon Mercury Grand Marquis 4-door automobile.
