Cocoa School Backpack Giveaway Rolls Out

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department’s Central Area will be hosting a school supply and backpack giveaway event for students this weekend.

The event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Joe Lee Smith Community Center in Cocoa .

The Order of the Eastern Star, Henrietta Chapter 66, is sponsoring the event and accepting donations of backpacks and school supplies.

The Cocoa Police Department is an additional sponsor and will be presenting a talk about bullying at the event.

Donations can be brought to the Joe Lee Smith Community Center, 419 Washington Street in Cocoa.
