BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Drawing on her unique and adventurous experiences over the past 16 years, Chris Kridler will share what storm chasing is really like through videos and photos in a free program entitled, “First Monday With Friends” at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1.
The event will take place at the Eau Gallie Public Library, 1521 Pineapple Ave., Melbourne.
Kridler, a resident of Rockledge, will share stories of the chase in Tornado Alley in Florida, note the extremes of Florida weather, and show her award-winning short documentary, “Chasing Reality.”
She also will talk about how she turned her experiences into fiction in the novel “Funnel Vision.”
The program is free and light refreshments will be served.
Kridler is a videographer, photographer, writer and editor who worked for Florida Today, The Baltimore Sun and The Charlotte Observer.
During part of her time at Florida Today, Kridler served on the Space Team, covering space shuttle missions, the Mars Rovers from California’s Jet Propulsion Lab, and a Soyuz launch and mission from Kazakhstan and Russia.
