OBITUARY
BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – Edwin Odell “Smitty” Smith, SMSGT USAF Ret., passed away on Oct. 28, 2012.

He was born Nov. 14, 1921 in Red Springs, N.C. and was veteran of two wars. His honesty and “get to the point” attitude made him one of a kind, for he was truly a man who portrayed those time honored values.
Those who really knew him came to appreciate his wry sense of humor as well as his devotion to his family. One of his greatest joys was his annual camping trip to N.C with all of his grandchildren. Those trips instilled great memories for all his grandchildren and passed along a tradition, which still takes place today. He was a valued friend and neighbor.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Martha E., sons; William (Marie), and Craig, grandsons; Bryan and Corey, granddaughter; Dana Price and Leah Carden, and great-grandchildren; Averie and Braxton Smith, Adian and Anna Price, and Isaac and Nola Carden. His son David preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at Beach Funeral Homes – East on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012. Edwin’s memorial page may be visited at BeachFuneralHome.com
