Alton B. Smith, 76, Passes Away Dec. 17

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Dr. Alton “Pete” B. Smith, 76, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on Dec. 17, 2013.

He was born in Hollidaysburg, PA on Nov. 21, 1937. He served his country honorably in the U.S Air Force and Army, retiring after over 43 years of service. Pete also retired from his second career as a Counselor with the Brevard County and Oklahoma State School Systems. He had a great passion for model trains and was a member of the Model Railroad Club in Cocoa.

Pete is survived by his beloved wife; Stevie, children; April (Steve) BenCield, and Thomas (Wendy), mother; Ester, sister; Mildred Foust, step-children; Richard (Debbie), Robert (Vanessa), Ramona (Jesse), 10 grandchildren, and loving extended family.

Viewing hours will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at Beach Funeral Homes, Indian Harbour Beach from 12pm-3pm with a service to begin at 3pm.
