‘Sounds Of Jazzuary’ In Store For Melbourne Audiences

Concerts Features Former Lawrence Welk Singer

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Community Orchestra will join forces with the Melbourne Swingtime Jazz Band to present “The Sounds of Jazzuary” this week in Melbourne.

Concerts will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 and Thursday, Jan. 24 at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 Hibiscus Boulevard.

It will feature popular jazz favorites from the likes of Richard Rodgers, Henry Mancini, Hoagy Carmichael, ABBA, Duke Ellington and more.

Lawrence Welk Show singer Sally Hart, joins the Melbourne Community Orchestra to perform  April in Paris and other popular ballads.

Melbourne Community Orchestra president Jana Doss said she knows the program will attract a large crowd.

“Our collaboration with the Swingtime Jazz Band means a real finger-snapping pair of concerts,” said Doss.  “Sally Hart is such a dynamic entertainer.  We encourage folks to arrive early for a good seat.”

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. before the concerts.
