Krause New Visuals Editor For Space Coast Daily

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Maverick Multimedia, the parent company of SpaceCoastDaily.com, has announced the appointment of Christey Krause-Nichols as Visuals Editor.

Krause was born and raised in Brevard County and completed her education at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne and the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa.

She has been a photographer for 22 years, with 13 of them professionally.

“Photojournalism is my passion and I loves the challenge of telling a story with photography,” Krause said.

She owns a family portrait studio in Melbourne and has many published works relating to food photography.

Her photos have appeared in local newspapers, national print magazines and online publications.

Krause is married and the mother of four creative, brilliant and busy children.

She’s an active member of the local community, working with the Children’s Hunger Project, the Junior League of South Brevard and is a Girl Scout leader at her daughter’s school.

“We are certainly fortunate to have someone of Christey’s caliber and expertise join us and we welcome her contributions to SpaceCoastDaily.com,” said Ed Pierce, SpaceCoastDaily.com managing editor. “She has a keen eye for visuals and will bring a new dimension to what we do at Space Coast Daily.”

Pierce said in addition to shooting everything from youth and prep sports activities to breaking news and event photography, Krause also will shoot an array of videos and special projects for Maverick Multimedia.
