Heritage Boys, Rockledge Girls Capture Titles

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Heritage High School’s boys’ squad and Rockledge’s girls’ team captured Cape Coast Conference track titles on Friday at Astronaut High School in Titusville.

The meet was delayed one day because of rain Thursday in Titusville.

Heritage collected 98.5 points to win the boys’ crown ahead of second-place Satellite with 82.

Nine-time defending boys’ champion Astronaut was third with 71.5, with Cocoa in fourth with 67 and Merritt Island in fifth at 63.

In the girls’ standings, Rockledge won with 172.12 points followed by second-place Merritt Island with 96.25.

The Viera Hawks were third with 63 and Cocoa was fourth with 59.
