2013 Indialantic Boardwalk Triathlon Presented by Beachside Physical Therapy & Health Studio
BREVARD COUNTY • INDIALANTIC, FLORIDA — The inaugural Indialantic Boardwalk Triathlon presented by Beachside Health Studio will take place on Sunday, June 23 at Nance Park in Indialantic.

“The newest triathlon to hit the Space Coast is shaping up to be a premier event and we are very pleased to be able to provide this active living event for Brevard,” said Steve Ryland, Owner and Founder of Beachside Health Studio.
The Indialantic Boardwalk Triathlon celebrates Brevard’s beautiful coastline and will be held at Nance Park in Indialantic.
The first wave of participants will start at 7 a.m. The course includes an 1/3 mile ocean swim, a 13 mile scenic bike ride along the Indian River Lagoon and a 3.1 mile run through a friendly beachside neighborhood.
The event will culminate with a fun, festive beachside awards party, featuring live music, great food, cold beer and lots of raffle prizes.
TRIATHLON RACE CATEGORIES
Participants may enter the following categories and there will be three awards in each category:
• Overall/ Elite
• Age Group (Standard 5)
• Athena (>150)
• Clydesdale (>200)
• First Timer
• Fat Tire
Every triathlon participant will be automatically entered into a raffle for a full-sized stand-up paddleboard (SUP). The first one hundred registrants will also receive a bonus second entry.
BEAUTIFUL BEACHSIDE LOCATION
With an beautiful ocean swim, a scenic ride along the Indian River Lagoon and a run through a friendly beachside neighborhood, the Indialantic Boardwalk Triathlon race committee and crew are keeping a local feel and theme for the event. A painting by local artist Damien Share, depicts the beautiful location for the event and showcases the beautiful boardwalk and coastline.
Many local businesses are sponsoring the event including main sponsor Beachside Physical Therapy & Health Studio and participating sponsors include: Don Facciobene, Inc.,Carter’s Garage, Smith Surveying, iNi Productions and the Jungle Organic Restaurant & Market.
The sprint distance triathlon is sanctioned by the USAT. Registration is $75 through race day and all finishers will receive a finisher medal and awards.
ABOUT BEACHSIDE HEALTH STUDIO
Beachside Health Studio was developed and founded by Ryland and Sharon Hope Love. Ryland is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy as well as the owner of Beachside Health Studio and Beachside Physical Therapy.

Love is a licensed physical therapy assistant, a licensed massage therapist, and a certified Pilates instructor. She began working with Ryland in 2007 as a physical therapy assistant. The company was thriving but patients were returning for the same ailment due to lack of exercise post discharge from their therapy program.
Love developed a plan to incorporate a wellness center as a sister company to Beachside Physical Therapy which was approved in early 2008 and by September 2008, a space had been rented; build out completed, staff and documentation established, and equipment purchased.

Beachside Health Studio offers a unique experience in a fitness center. The Health Studio is a state-of-the-art facility offering physical therapy, personal training, massage therapy, Pilates, yoga, TRX, a variety of group classes and much more.
All of the Health Studio services are supervised by licensed physical therapists.
Beachside Health Studio is dedicated to providing high-quality services to empower and drive their clients to heightened health and well-being.
Beachside Health Studio is located in Indialantic, and is based centrally to all five insurance-based physical therapy clinics.
SUPPORTS LOCAL COLLEGES
The Health Studio supports the local colleges, Florida Institute of Technology, local high schools, as well as a professional football connection. Steve Ryland of Beachside Physical Therapy was honored as a Founding Member of the Florida Tech football program.
Beachside Health Studio currently offers Pilates, massage, physical therapy, sport-specific golf training, personal training and semi-private fitness classes. Staff includes two physical therapists, one physical therapy assistant, two personal trainers, two Pilates instructors, three massage therapists and four group class instructors.
The Health Studio is deeply involved in the community, gives freely to charitable causes and participates in a number of community events including local marathons, charity events, health fairs, etc. The Health Studio donates and supports many local fundraisers and charities with a mission to bring health and wellness to the community, and to educate the community on the importance of maintaining a healthy body.
