BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA — A Palm Bay woman is in stable condition after she was attacked  by three pit bulls.

According to Palm Bay Public Information Coordinator Yvonne Martinez, Marche McCubbin, 53 of Palm Bay, suffered multiple bite wounds, cuts and bruises to her upper body after the three dogs attacked her during a walk.

According to witnesses, McCubbin was out walking when three dogs, which are owned by the resident at 3266 Hainlin Ave. SE, charged her and knocked her to the ground.  The dogs then began biting her.

A neighbor who witnessed the attack used a shovel to get the dogs off of the victim.

Patrol officers along with Palm Bay Fire-Rescue firefighters and paramedics responded the scene, along with Brevard County Animal Services and Enforcement, which took the dogs into quarantine at the South Brevard County Animal Shelter.

According to Martinez, animal services will conduct the investigation and determine what will happen with the dogs and if the owner will face any penalties.
