BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Sheriff Wayne Ivey and the Brevard County Animal Care Center are asking residents to help provide temporary foster homes for kittens in need.
Foster volunteers play an important role by giving young kittens a safe and nurturing environment while they grow strong enough for adoption. Fostering also helps create additional space at the shelter for other animals awaiting care.
Residents interested in becoming foster volunteers can visit the Brevard County Animal Care Center at 5100 West Eau Gallie Boulevard in Melbourne.
The center is open from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
