Tropical Depression 5 Forms in Atlantic Ocean

DEPRESSION EXPECTED TO STRENGTHEN INTO TROPICAL STORM

MIAMI, FLORIDA – The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida announced Tropical Depression #5 formed in the far East Atlantic. 

The latest update shows the system located 14.0 N, 23.52, approximately 80 miles southeast of the southernmost Cape Verde Islands. Maximum sustained winds are at 35 miles per house and the present movement is West Northwest at 14 miles per hour.

Tropical Depression #5 is expected to strengthen. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the Southern Cape Verde Islands of Maio, Santiago, Fogo and Brava. .The center of the cyclone hsould move to the south and southwest of the Southern Cape Verde Islands on Thursday. Tropical storm conditions are expected within the warning areaa within the next 12 to24 hours.
