Medical Marijuana Legalization May Appear On Ballot

Supporters Claim 1.1 Million Petition Signatures

Medical marijuana legalization may be included among the issues on the 2014 ballot.

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA — Medical marijuana supporters claim they’ve gathered 1.1. million signatures to put legalization on the 2014 ballot.

If the supporters claims are true, the total amount of legitimate signatures could easily surpass the  683,149 signatures required  to be placed on the ballot for 2014. Vocal proponents of legalization include attorney John Morgan of Orlando. Morgan donated $1 million to the legalization effort and was among the state’s top fundraisers for Barack Obama during the 2012 election and is a supporter of Charlie Crist’s campaign for Florida Governor.
