Eastern Florida improved to 8-3 overall

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The bats once again spoke loud and clear for Eastern Florida’s baseball team as it banged out 16 hits in a 10-4 victory at Daytona State College on Wednesday.

The victory was the sixth straight for Eastern Florida improving its record to 8-3.

Sophomore Kenton Hering got the win for Eastern Florida working six innings and recording eight strikeouts. Daytona State had 10 hits on the night. Both teams committed two errors.

Alessandro Lima went 5-for-5 for Eastern Florida and knocked in three runs.

Francisco Cruz went 2-for-5 with a triple and two runs batted in. Nick Capra went 2-for-5 with a triple and Christian Diaz went 2-for-5 with a double.

Next up for the Titans is a 5 p.m. Friday home game against Polk State College at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne Campus. Admission is free.
