A 40-year-old Mims man has been arrested following a fatal crash involving a motorcycle near U.S. Highway 1 and Orbiter Court, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – A 40-year-old Mims man has been arrested following a fatal crash involving a motorcycle near US-1 and Orbiter Court, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers identified the suspect as Nickalas Ray Davis, who was taken into custody Aug. 25 in Putnam County.
According to FHP, Davis was driving a vehicle that struck a motorcycle from behind.
The crash killed the motorcyclist, a 61-year-old Melbourne man.
Davis faces charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving death, tampering with physical evidence, driving with a suspended license and careless driving.
The investigation remains ongoing.
