Pedestrian Killed on U.S. 1 in Cocoa

Lee Ann Curtin of Cocoa Killed

COCOA, FLORIDA — Florida Highway Patrol released the name of a pedestrian who was struck and killed at the intersection of Spring St. and U.S.1 in Cocoa. 

According to FHP public information officer Kim Montes, Arlan Ropp, 79 of Cocoa, was traveling northbound on US-1, approaching the intersection of Spring Street, in the outside travel lane. Lee Ann Curtain  began walking in the northbound travel lane walking in a west direction toward Spring Street and traveled into the direct path of Ropp. The front left of Ropp struck Curtain.

This crash remains under investigation.
