In a recent ceremony at Daytona Beach, Lt. Col.Mike Perry transferred his command of the Florida National Guard 1st Battalion, 265th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) headquartered in Daytona Beach, Fla.

In a recent ceremony at Daytona Beach, Lt. Col.Mike Perry transferred his command of the Florida National Guard 1st Battalion, 265th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) headquartered in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The director of undergraduate admission at Florida Tech, Perry held the post of battalion commander for four years. He is now the operations officer for the 164th ADA Brigade, based in Orlando.

“Lt. Col. Perry has had an extraordinarily successful tour as commander of this great battalion for four years,” said 164th Air Defense Artillery Brigade Commander Col. Matthew J. Hearon.

Lt. Col. Michael E. Powers replaced Perry as commander of the 1st Battalion, 265th Air Defense Artillery.
