BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Wren Insurance Agency was established in 1979 by Skip Wren and has grown to become one of the largest insurance agencies in Brevard County.

Today the agency is owned by Kirk and Meghan (Wren) Ball, who continue the company’s long tradition of providing superior insurance solutions and great client service.

In January 2008, the agency made the transition from a “Nationwide” insurance agency to an independent insurance agency.

“This meant that rather than representing only one insurance company, we could represent many insurance companies, so that we could provide our clients more options,” said Kirk Ball.

“This has been a great advantage for our clients, as we now offer 40+ homeowners insurance companies and a dozen or so auto insurance companies. When one insurance company’s rates goes up, we can find another solution for our customers.”

Wren also has a strong commercial insurance department, which focuses on the needs of condominium associations, landlords insurance, and those in the health care field including dentists, chiropractors, veterinarians, medical doctors.

“We represent our clients first, not the insurance company and we offer many A-rated insurance companies to give our clients options,” said Ball, who married the Wren’s daughter, Meghan.

“We are truly a family run business and we love what we do.”

Wren now features two Brevard County locations at 5500 Porada Drive, Suite 102, in Viera, and 1430 Palm Bay Road NE, in Palm Bay.

“We work directly with our clients when they need to file a claim and we shop for the best rate at renewal, so our clients get competitive premiums,” said Ball.

Wren focuses on educating its clients and professionalism.

“All of our employees are fully licensed and working towards insurance certifications,” said Meghan Ball.

The long term success of the company, is due to the way it does business.

“We truly partner with our clients,” said Ball.

“It’s never transactional, it’s always relationship-focused. Our clients are not numbers to us, they are people, and we value all people – client or not.”

Wren does not believe in high pressure sales. Rather, the team believes in educating its clients, presenting options, advising, answering questions, and letting the client decide.

“We focus on hiring the best people who are actively engaged in the insurance profession and who are committed to providing great service,” said Ball. “We hire competent, friendly, and organized people so that our clients are well taken care of.”

Ball emphasizes strong business ethics and strives for improvement and growth through quality.

“We continually solicit feedback from our clients on how they want to be served and if we can improve in any way,” he said.

“Consumer needs are changing faster than ever, and we have to be able to adapt to those needs. We never want to become static, we always want to be ready and able to respond to our clients needs in these ever-changing times.”

“The goal of our company is to be the leading insurance agency of not only Brevard county, but of all of central Florida.”

As a fairly young owner, Ball at 31, plans for the agency to continue to thrive.

“We have to continually reinvest in our people, and in making sure our clients are served well and taken care of.”

In these days of prolific advertising by insurance giants like GEICO, E-surance, and Progressive, it can be easy to forget about the value of a local, independent insurance professional. The Wren Agency adds the personal approach of a locally owned firm.

“Our rates are very competitive, and when you also add in the value of a local representative – someone who can be your personal advisor and advocate – we really can’t be beat,” said Folkerts.

“We put the client first, and truly care about people’s well-being,”
