BREVARD COUNTY • KENNEDY SPACE CENTER – In June 2013, NASA announced its 21st class of astronauts, eight highly skilled military aviators and researchers who will be part of the agency’s missions beyond low-Earth orbit to destinations in the solar system.
Their early training brought them to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center here in Brevard County where America’s efforts to explore space began. Tis group, as those before them, are indeed the true American heroes.
