Almost 400 people packed the sold-out Cocoa Beach Country Club for the 2014 Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame induction dinner and program where all the inductees were featured in special video tributes showcasing their careers which have left an indelible mark on the Space Coast.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The 2014 Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame induction was a sensational and inspirational happening featuring the royalty of sports on the Space Coast, and included many who traveled from all four corners of America, and beyond, to enjoy the festivities.
“It is a very special feeling to look out into the packed ballroom and see many of Brevard’s greatest sports figures and personalities of the last seven decades,” said Master of Ceremonies and Maverick Multimedia’s Giles Malone from the podium.
“I have been intimately involved with sports on the Space Coast since 1981 and it is thrilling to be a part of inducting many of the athletes and coaches I have had the greatest admiration – and pleasure to know, watch, and work with for more than 30 years.”
STAR-STUDDED GATHERING
At the star-studded banquet and ceremony, 28 other inductees were honored and each one came to the podium to share how much the honor meant to them.
A sold-out crowd enjoyed the 2014 Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Cocoa Beach Country Club on May 9, which featured passionate and emotional remarks from each inductee.

Each inductee spoke of their lives as sports figures, and each received a special cut-glass award and framed personal portrait with their image on the front cover of Space Coast Daily Sports.
All in all, 28 individual people were inducted into the 2014 class of the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame, along with Team of the Year, the National Champion Palm Bay Rockets.

“As usual, it was an inspirational, sensational and unforgettable evening with some of Brevard’s best citizens, and plans are already under way to select and induct the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2015,” said Maverick Multimedia’s Tom Palermo.
