BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce announced that president and CEO Victoria Northrup has been appointed to the Bayfront Community Redevelopment Agency (BCRA) effective immediately.
Northrup, president of the Palm Bay Chamber since 2009 was appointed by Palm Bay Councilwoman Kristine Isnardi at the May city council meeting.
The six member board is under the direction of Tim Ford, director for the BCRA.

“With our offices located in the BCRA district and the expected activity and economic development anticipated here, this was a welcomed appointment,” stated Northrup.
“I look forward to working with the other board members as we develop this area of our city.”
Florida Statutes, Chapter 163, Part III, provides for each city and county to create a community redevelopment agency for the purpose of eliminating and preventing the development of slum and blighted areas or for the provision of affordable housing.
There are currently 178 CRA’s in the State of Florida.
