POLICE: Daytona Dad Walks In On Man Assaulting Son

SUSPECT TELLS POLICE, "I'm guilty"
DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA — Raymond Frolander, 18, was arrested on Friday by the Daytona Beach Police after he was caught sexually battering a child under 12 years old by the victim’s father.

According to Daytona Beach police, Frolander, is a family member of the victim and was left in a position of custodial authority by the child’s parents.
The victim’s father told officers that he walked in and witnessed Frolander sexually battering his son. In response, the father physically intervened and prevented him from leaving the scene before the police could arrive.
Police observed Frolander laying on the living room floor with bruises on his face and bleeding from his mouth. First responders then transported Frolander to Halifax Medical Center.
During the interview with the victim, he told officers that there was a history of past sexual abuse from Frolander which began at 8 years old.
The defendant was treated and released from Halifax Hospital and was then interviewed at the Daytona Beach Police Department. During the interview, police said Frolander revealed a sexual relationship with the victim. According to investigators, at the conclusion of this interview Frolander stated, “I’m guilty.”
Police say Frolander has no prior incident on his record as an adult related to sex cases.
