BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — A variety of music, dance, and holiday entertainment is coming your way at the King Center for the Performing Arts in the next couple of months.

The Fresh Beat Band, Nickelodeon’s preschool music group and stars of the hit Emmy Award-winning TV series of the same name, are bringing an all new concert to cities across the U.S.

The Fresh Beat Band Greatest Hits Live features Kiki (Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer), Shout (Thomas Hobson), Marina (Tara Perry), and Twist (Jon Beavers) performing in this brand new production featuring new hit songs such as “Walk Like an Egyptian” along with fan favorites from their live-action TV show and recent albums.

The band will perform all of their biggest hits that teach preschoolers about music appreciation and how to express their feelings through movement, song and instrumental music. Fresh Beat Band Party packages, which include a meet and greet with The Fresh Beat Band will be available.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Ann and Nancy Wilson first showed the world that women can rock when their band, Heart, stormed the charts in the ‘70’s with hits like Crazy on You, Magic Man, Barracuda, Straight On, and so many more.

Not only did the Wilson sisters lead the band, they wrote the songs and played the instruments too, making them the first women in rock to do so. Heart continued topping the charts through the ‘80’s and ‘90’s with huge hits like These Dreams, Alone, What About Love, If Looks Could Kill, Never, and a string of other hits that showcased the sisters’ enormous talents as musicians and singers.

Along the way, music by Ann and Nancy Wilson and their band Heart sold more than 35 million albums, sold out arenas worldwide, and found their way into the soundtrack of American life through radio, motion pictures, television, and associations with branded sponsors.

Through the years, Darlene Love has captivated audiences all over the world with her sensational performances and her warm and gracious stage presence.

Since the early sixties, as part of Phil Spector’s wall of sound hit factory, this great lady has done it all, from major films like the highly successful Lethal Weapon series to Broadway hits like Hairspray and Grease.

At its home in the Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts, the chorus has performed such works as Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Handel’s Messiah, Poulenc’s Gloria, Mozart’s Requiem, Brahms’s Ein Deutsches Requiem, and Orff ’s Carmina Burana.

Brevard Community Chorus is a volunteer organization of 100-plus voices that meets weekly for the purpose of rehearsing and performing the larger works of the choral repertoire.

Mindi Abair is a double-edged talent with her fluid saxophone and emotive vocals. Rick Braun is a masterful trumpet/flugelhorn player whose warm tones transform the simplest melody into a work of art.

They have each separately sold millions of records and their combined fans will surely appreciate this special performance of Christmas favorites.

This year, Peter, Rick and Mindi have just completed recording their CD, Peter White Christmas with Mindi Abair & Rick Braun which is filled with selections from the Christmas tour.

This Victorian version of Christmas magic is presented with a full array of traditional Christmas carols interwoven with the well-known story. Each carol was chosen for the dramatic atmosphere it contributes to the total evening.
