“We are proud and excited to be breaking ground on the new Orange City branch which will serve much of the West Volusia area,” says Launch Federal Credit Union’s CEO Joe Mirachi.

“We are happy to be able to continue our growth by expanding into the Orange City community. The new branch will employ at least nine full-time employees, expanding to 12 full-time employees within five years. We have hired local contractor Rhodes Building Company to complete the building process, and they expect this project to create 286 construction jobs for a period of six months. The building should be completed in April of 2015,” says Mirachi.

Launch FCU also has a student-run branch at nearby University High School. The new Orange City branch will be a training branch for UHS students in the Finance Academy who wish to volunteer at the school branch.

“We are very pleased Launch FCU chose Orange City for its new location,” says Mayor Laputka.“We enjoy seeing business growth in the city as well as job creation. It’s a win-win for both parties.”
