Waves are looking mostly unrideable this morning. Late-morning's lower tide could help make the small waves more rideable by then. Surfers seeking an early morning surf session may want to focus on Cocoa Beach's northernmost beaches for a longboardable wave. — Ocean temperatures have dropped to 70 degrees. A fullsuit may be the best option for Friday, but surfers can shed much of the rubber by Sunday.

SURF REPORT FOR NOV. 28 – NOV. 30, 2014

FRIDAY: Surf this Friday morning is running in the thigh- to waist-high range with semi-clean lines from an early northwesterly wind.

SATURDAY: Saturday’s surf will build into the waist- to chest-high range with bumpy conditions from a northeasterly wind.

SUNDAY: Sunday’s surf will remain in the waist-high range with bumpy conditions again from a steady easterly wind.

Ocean temperatures have dropped to 67 degrees. A fullsuit may be the best option for mornings, but surfers can shed much of the rubber by Sundayafternoon.

Bob Freeman has been surfing Brevard’s waves since 1966. He was also the first to surf several of North Carolina’s remote islands in the mid ’60s and travels frequently to surf in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Mexico and Hawaii. He provided his first surf reporting and weekend forecasts in 1968 live on WKKO radio from the RonJon Surf Shop on Cocoa Beach Pier. He was the 1968 Florida Men’s Surfing Champion and is the current Florida Legend’s Surfing Champion. He has gathered over 300 amateur 1st place awards in both shortboard and longboard divisions. He is a 2014 Inductee into the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame.
