Priscilla Jeffords, 58, was struck by a SUV and killed on Thursday night about 6:35 p.m. near Paradise Lane and Cocoa Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Priscilla Jeffords, 58, was struck by a SUV and killed on Thursday night about 6:35 p.m. near Paradise Lane and Cocoa Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Judith Connelly, 73, was driving a 2012 Chevy SUV southbound on Paradise Lane in the outside lane as Jeffords was attempting to cross Paradise Lane from the east to the west, not in a crosswalk or intersection.

According to FHP, Jeffords walked into the direct path of Connelly, and the front of the SUV struck the victim.

Jeffords, a resident of Cocoa, was pronounced dead at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation.
