BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Olivia Hersey, a 6-foot-0 middle blocker and right side hitter from Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando, signed a National Letter of Intent during the early signing period to join the Florida Tech Panthers.

She will enroll starting in fall 2015 and plans to major in mathematical sciences.

Hersey helped guide the Hornets to two state volleyball championships in 2012 and 2013. Following their 2012 state title, Bishop Moore earned the distinction of being ranked No. 1 in the country by MaxPreps. En route to winning the 2013 championship, Hersey registered 23.5 blocks and a .307 hitting percentage.

“We are very excited to have Olivia join our program,” head coach Amy O’Brien said.
