Queen, Doyle Share Titan’s Student-Athletes of Week Honors

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Basketball players Jermohn Queen and Jessica Doyle are the Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Dec. 7.

Queen, a sophomore guard from Stuart, Florida and Martin County High, totaled 26 points, three steals, nine assists and eight rebounds as Eastern Florida’s men defeated Cape Fear Community College 76-52 and Florida State College Jacksonville 76-59 to run its record to 11-1; its home winning streak to 37; and its winning streak to seven.

The victory over FSCJ also gave Eastern Florida head coach Jeremy Shulman his 100th victory with the Titans.

Doyle, a sophomore guard from Palm Bay, Florida and Heritage High, is EFSC’s leading scorer averaging 13.9 points per game.

She totaled 24 points as EFSC’s women split two games last week, beating Hillsborough Community College 65-55 and falling to the College of Central Florida 78-57. The women are 6-3.
