Smith, Aupont Share Titan’s Student-Athletes of Week Honors

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Basketball players Daishon Smith and Rachelle Aupont are the Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Dec. 14.

Smith, a freshman guard from Jacksonville, Florida and Ribault High, totaled 40 points, six steals and five assists in 54 total minutes over two games as EFSC beat Gulf Coast State 77-68 and Tallahassee Community College 76-66.

The victories improved the men’s basketball record to 14-1.

Aupont, a sophomore forward from Orlando, Florida and Edgewater High, totaled 29 points and 21 rebounds as EFSC lost 75-74 to Gulf Coast State and 63-47 to nationally No. 1-ranked Chipola College.

EFSC’s women’s basketball program is 7-5 on the season.
