BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — A woman accused of taking dozens of baked goods without paying from the Little Flour Crumbs bake stand was arrested after a Brevard County deputy recognized a vehicle and clothing matching those seen in surveillance video, according to Sheriff Wayne Ivey.
Sheriff Ivey identified the suspect as Argentina Thomason and said video of the incident circulated on social media over the weekend.
According to the sheriff, Thomason allegedly took seven mini loaves of bread, six loaves of banana bread, five cinnamon rolls and 40 cookies from the local small business’s stand without paying.
Deputy Santana responded to the residence to take a report and reviewed surveillance footage showing the suspect and her vehicle, Ivey said.
Later that day, while on patrol, Santana spotted a vehicle resembling the one captured in the footage.
The deputy then found a woman who matched the suspect’s description and was wearing the same clothing seen in the video, according to the sheriff.
Thomason was subsequently arrested and taken to the Brevard County Jail.
The sheriff praised Santana for locating the suspect and emphasized the impact theft can have on local business owners.
“Folks, there is never a reason to steal from someone, especially a hard-working small business owner in our community,” Ivey said.
