Titans Record Fifth Victory of Season Behind Aupont, Doyle

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Sophomore Rachelle Aupont turned in a double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds and added four assists as Eastern Florida’s women’s basketball team won its fifth game of the season on Saturday.

Playing in the GPC Thanksgiving Classic in Decatur, Georgia EFSC improved to 5-2 with an 85-70 victory over Central Georgia Technical College. EFSC led at halftime 45-27.

Twenty-one of co-captain Aupont’s points came on seven three-pointers.

Classmate and co-captain Jessica Doyle added 23 points, including seven three-pointers. Doyle also recorded four assists.

Freshman Paola Vasquez added energy off the bench with 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.

EFSC earlier beat Central Georgia Tech 68-47 on Nov. 14.

Next up for EFSC are road games at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa on Wednesday and at the College of Central Florida in Ocala on Friday.

The Titans return home to host Florida State College Jacksonville at 6 p.m. Dec. 9. Admission is free.
