Central Parks Hosts Back 2 Basics Basketball Clinic

Beginning February 4, the Brevard County Central Area Parks and Recreation will offer Back 2 Basics Basketball for children 5 to 10 years old.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Beginning February 4, the Brevard County Central Area Parks and Recreation will offer Back 2 Basics Basketball for children 5 to 10 years old. 

The event will take place at Kiwanis Island Park in Merritt Island on Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Back 2 Basics Basketball is an instructional program that introduces children to the sport of basketball.

“Using age-appropriate equipment, children will learn basic skills of dribbling, passing, and shooting. Teamwork and sportsmanship are also emphasized,” said Claire Cawthon, Recreation Program Coordinator.

Cost is $40 for 4 weeks of instruction. Class size is limited.
