A SpaceX Falcon 9 booster rocket crash-landed on a barge after it lifted off on Jan. 10 with the company’s Dragon vessel carrying 5,000 pounds of supplies to the Space Station.

The plan called for SpaceX to to land the Falcon 9 on a barge in the Atlantic Ocean shortly after a cargo load blasted off to the International Space Station.

The Falcon 9 rocket came close, but came down at a 45-degree angle, smashing its legs and engine section and exploding in a fiery crash.
