Hospital officials have announced that Zakkary Herman, 21, of Cocoa Beach, has died as a result of his injuries sustained in the March 31 crash. 

According to police, the driver of the vehicle was not injured and possible charges are pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation.

Skateboarder Seriously Injured In Cocoa Beach Crash

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Skateboarder Zakkary Herman, 21, was seriously injured when he was hit by a vehicle about 2 a.m. Tuesday in Cocoa Beach.

According to the Cocoa Beach Police Department, Herman was struck on State Road A1A at North Atlantic Avenue just after 2 a.m. Tuesday, and then flown by trauma helicopter to Holmes Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle was not injured and possible charges are pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation.
