This exciting event will feature 11 Space Coast community and business leaders, including Amy Boyson, Lila Buescher, William Capote, Katie Jacobus, Robert Jordan, Charlie Nash, Jackie Pantello,Rita Pritchett, Susan Vallette, Mason Williams and Milo Zonka.

BRAGGING RIGHTS ON THE LINE

Each celebrity dancer will be matched up with a professional dancer as they compete in a ballroom dance – and for bragging rights as the best dancer in Brevard.

On the evening of June 6, each dance pair will compete in a choreographed ballroom dance that will be scored by a panel of judges.

During the show, couples will earn scores based on several technical skill factors, but the judges’ scores alone don’t decide the dancer’s final score.

Leading up to the actual performance, the dancers will have already scored 60 percent of their points through their fundraising endeavors.

She has serverd on many non-profit boards and committees but her first love has always been the Brevard Symphony Orchestra. Playing tennis or golf is fun, but ballroom dancing is her passion.

Thanks to the Sheriff, she will have a terrific dance pro, Lance Sexton from Melbourne Ballroom and will get to perform at the Clemente Center.

Many of this year’s competittors are close friends of Jackie’s and they intend to have a blast and give you a great show.

You can watch Jackie on BrightHouse channel 49 (NASA) several times a month when she interviews local arts people for the Brevard Notes program.

My sisters always say I am, “just a girl from Texas who loves to dance, drink champagne, and never lets anyone else talk!”
